Child Custody Evaluation 604(b) Pre-Screening :
Consider a screening before you begin the entire 604(b) process. It can save you lots of time, money, and headaches. The purpose of the screening is to review your case in order to determine if a full evaluation would be necessary. Screenings may last 1-2 hours.
Child Custody Evaluations 604(b) :
This is a full evaluation in order to make custody recommendations for court. Parents may have a private evaluation completed, without a court order, if both parents consent to the evaluation, in order to make recommendations regarding the best interests of their children. Evaluations include interviews, home visits, observational data, record review and other data gathering that may be relevant to your case in order to make the best recommendations. PSC custody evaluations do not include psychological evaluations, such as the MMPI or Rorschach, because these are not reliable or useful for when making best-interest recommendations.

Anger Management Therapy :
If you have been ordered by the court to receive "anger management therapy," we can provide this for you if you requested PSC in the court order, or, if your order does name a specific provider. Anger management therapy is individualized and private. It includes education, as you would find in anger management groups, but your therapist can personalize your services to meet your needs.
Parent Training :
Some parents may be ordered by the court to participate in parenting or parent training. We can provide this for you if you requested PSC in the court order, or, if your order does name a specific provider. Parent training relies on teaching parenting techniques that are based on scientific evidence. Parent training includes education, training, behavior modification planning and may include individual assessments of the children.
Alcohol and Substance Abuse Evaluation and Treatment :
If you were ordered by the court to be evaluated and follow the recommendations of the evaluation, we can provide this for you if you requested PSC in the court order, or, if your order does name a specific provider. Evaluations are usually one to three hours and may include review of other records or interviews of family members. We provide individualized therapy for people who want treatment for their addiction, even if they have been court ordered.
CASA and GAL Training, Consultation, and Assistance :
CASA and GAL's provide and important service, however, many still need the training or consultation to perform their duties to the best of their ability. Consultation is available for those new to this area and to those who are seasoned but dealing with complex cases or would like another perspective on the case from a non-interested party. Trainings are tailored to the needs of the individual and may be case specific. Assistance may be provided for interviews and record reviews for CASA and GAL who are carrying heavy caseloads or are very busy.
